I liked the floral opening, but after drydown I just smell the almond with a faint hint of sweetness. It honestly reminds me of a certain shampoo or body wash I've had before (can't remember which one though). Don't recommend it. Unabashedly bold with a refined quality, perfumer Domitlle Michalon-Bertier of IFF evolved and intensified the perfect olfactive and created an alluring new companion fragrance that radiates confidence and celebrates originality. Smelled in store, surprisingly nice for a Marc jacobs smell. for the life of me, I don't get any almonds in this, but that could just be me?? Oddly enough, (must be my chemistry) I don't get almond from it either. Its a bust for me and my conclusion is its a unique scent from the designer world anyways, smelled great on paper but imo smells way better on paper than on skin, on skin it smells different and for me it didnt have any sillage and lasted but a few hours on skin digging my nose into it, before it was complete gone. There was nothing in my comment that merited deletion, nor did I vote on anything before smelling it. Just nuts, no depth and it disappears in 30 minutes or less even with 4 sprays on one spot. Thats really all I get, but I love it. Other than the performance, the fragrance itself is amazing. A must try for lovers of gourmand and almond scents. Modern, bright, and feminine, Perfect is an unconventional yet harmonious clash of fresh floral and calming smooth notes. I think it's way overpriced; I'm sure there are plenty of floral perfumes out there that smell similar. Nice though for what it is, made me feel cosy, would consider buying if I didnt have girl of now original and shine, but for an almond scent they definitely top this one, longevity AND scent wise. Overall its a crowd pleaser, but it needs fixing and then some serious tuning - not the latest chemical wash autotuning, but a real tuning - by a skilled Nose, who wont quickly patch the gaps with the usual cheap industrial solvents (which the market overflows with and all recent formulas and some remakes are soaked in, for quite sometime now). Banana, hay, popcorn that's the vibe of this parfume.My first impression was popcorn indeed and after sampling in the store ,all day I was followed by it.It's a strong one and if you are open to something outside of the boxeswhy not hay, popcorn or bananas!? Maybe if I try it another time with different expectations I will like it more. Happy to have it. Bought a purse spray of this today. Tested this for a few days now and wow this is beautifully done for a MJ perfume. The Perfect Intense design is a chic reinterpretation of the original perfect bottle. I dislike this scent and I def would not purchase or keep it for myself. I don't get an outstanding almond scent from this like I expected.

A pastry-like scent which nonetheless does not have that nauseating "sugar" overload that causes me headache, nor the fruitiness that permeates so many gourmand. I thought that the popcorn smell coming from the popcorn stand at the mall was permeating the Macy's store, but this perfume actually smells like a mixture of popcorn and something else. The fragrance finishes with a soft dry down of cedarwood and cashmeran. I read some comments about the Intense version being more gourmand than the original so I am impatient to try it on my skin. But this is a light shampoo-y detergent type of scent and not a layered banana scent with depth or a good quality base. It of course has a predominantly sweet vibe, but I also feel like its a little salty too. I guess it's OK but I was hoping for "special.". Like, stick your head in a big bushy bale and inhale deeply kind of hay. Then it gets slightly oudy in the drydown. I had no real expectations at first but this is a almond floral sweet scent. On paper this is fairly strong and has impressive longevity. A warm sesame honey almond.
i get narcissus, I thought i could smell freesiabut that must be the effect of jasmine with narcissus. Pair this with Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Crush Cheirosa 62 spray or perfume, or even the Cheirosa 71 spray ( the white chocolate macadamia one ) and it's GUARANTEED to illicit even just ONE compliment.

MIDDLE NOTES: Roasted Almonds I am not getting the sandalwood tone at all. The almond in this is dreamy! This will be my weirdest review so far. An easy four out of five stars from me, regardless, and that's saying something. All I get from this is Pert Plus shampoo and bug spray.. It starts with an audacious bang then turns playful and soothing. In terms of longevity, I put it on at around 5 on, its currently 8:23 and it has softened up quite a bit. This has the same jasmine note as The Only One Intense, as well as the green apple jolly rancher vibe from the original Perfect, that to me, mixed with the jasmine, reminds me of the jasmine-apple combo of the The Only One Intense. Lasts 2-4 hours and sits close to the skin. For a perfume to be called "Perfect", I would expect nothing but perfection in a bottle but then the problem comes when one realizes that perfection is subjective, because what I may find perfect for me may be light years from what's considered perfect for others.

On me, this thing is an absolute beast -- I can smell it at arm's length even twelve hours on -- but that last hour-ish is tainted with oakmoss that makes it hard to enjoy. Def smells like banana. This new perfect intense is a very sexy woman parfum.. On my want list.. I love this one, it's much richer than the original. Got in a gift set with Perfect. This, on me, is a unique, "oooh, what is she wearing?" Love it! The background notes are interesting- nutty and sweet, but it stays screechy to me. Perfect Intense is like Perfect, just stripped of the fruity florals, which means I'm not that interested in it. Despite the only not common between them being sandalwood, this fragrance reads exactly like Moschino Toy 2 on dry (as soon as toy2 goes on my skin it sweetens up so much, though!) I like this. Smells like a 90s perfume, particularly Celebrate from Coty. The dry down is beautiful however its hard to get past the nuttiness in the opening.

I smelled this in store on a test strip not expecting much and was intrigued. I live in Germany. Smells really lotiony like the body shop lotions. Smells very young - like what a teenager would wear. **Update: The banana scent turned into a delicious sweet, warm scent. At first, the green, almond and white florals are where it's at on me, then it sweetens out and mellows a bit into a sort of gentle cookies and milk vibe. It didn't take me long to realize the resemblance to The Only One Intense. the comparisons to scented body wash are pretty accurate.

Perfect Intense is really comforting and girly without being too chemically and artificial like the OG, at least on my skin. I got a sort of compliment with someone using the word perfume when they meant something else. The sandalwood and almond notes really stand out to me. I like the opening, but from then on its stages of development are very disjointed. Its nothing like the original Perfect, no sweetness, nothing pretty.. just very strong and kind of bitter and there's a fishy cold metallic note like in J'adore that I hate and have noticed in quite a lot of perfumes, maybe it is the combination of amber with florals?

It's so weird I've tested this before, a few times, and I've always thought it was fine but it didn't bother me. I also smelled the original perfect and it reminded me of a nice shampoo. I dont think I went nose blind because I could smell it when I dug my nose into my skin and my shirt but the sillage is non existent, at least for me. It smells yummy but in like a high-end hair product kind of way! The scent opens up with a strong floral and hint of almond. It disappeared just after an hour though.to a skin-scent. The intense version is okay, but I'm not in love with it. I got a sample of this from Sephora, and it's alright! At first I fell in love with the sharp jasmine note. Smooth, gourmand and creamy. The Intense also has a more interesting drydownI get a richer, honeyed vibebasically it is 100% a perfect "Intense" version of the original. I like white floral, but I like it creamy and smooth. Yes, the intensity, silage, and longevity, beats the original but what I loved about that one was the delicate and versatile scent. made me nauseous when i smelled it for the first time. There was promise in the initial spray, bright florals, however it quickly turned into plain lightly toasted almonds. It is a deeper and less sweet scent to me which makes it more sophisticated and womanly in my opinion but at least it lasts a lot longer than the original perfect perfumes does. I think the jasmine in this actually smells very similar to gardenia. I prefer this one to the original. Overall this is mostly milky, roasted almonds, with sesame oil, and some yellow and white flowers, that's it. This is fresh, juicy, sweet. Not my thing. I had seen reviewers saying it was over-pricedI do like it though. Unfortunately, this didnt live up to the original in my opinion and becomes way more floral than I wanted. Does anyone want to buy this one (for a lower price obiously) or swap it for the original one?
Perfect Marc Jacobs Intense is available as a 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum. Just wanted to get that out of the way at the get-go, so my experience may be light-years different than the norm. hour eight or nine, when the barest hint of oakmoss starts to peek through. love it! Perfect is one of my absolute favorite perfumes and I just can't stop thinking about how this is so basic in comparison. Which is does. Beautiful, smooth and creamy almond scent. However, for those who do, this is a good, warm, comforting scent for the fall. I expected it to have slightly more depth from the sandalwood and almond notes.
