[](https://i.imgur.com/uqojeWd.png) Hi, I have the latest version of Home Assistant and of the Tradfri firmware, but I still can't see the battery level of my fyrtur blinds. 0.101. The details requested potentially affect which options to pursue. Battery level of Tradfri (Fyrtur) Blinds doesn't show up as a separate entity nor attribute on the blinds entities. I have to say I paired the remotes to ZHA only and use an automation in HA to trigger the shades when a button is pressed. I use zigbee2mqtt and it works fine. ### ADDITIONAL CONTEXT Thanks! Just something to watch out for. Is the ZbBridge requesting this device very often? It decreases some percents per day while the switch is used sparingly However, I've further observed that the Tradfri Remote control devices have a battery status on them. STATUS 0 output here:

In my setup, I now threw the gateway out and connected all Tradfri devices to zigbee2mqtt using a 10$ USB stick. ``` There hasn't been any activity on this issue recently. 24h passed and they are still working. I paired them with smartthings and this solved the battery issue. 1. :), 0.109.6 - blinds battery status still not presented. I dont know if the buttons stay connected to the repeaters all the time. Is the ZbBridge requesting this device very often? I hope the battery will be fixed too soon how does the remote show battery but the blind not? _Make sure your have performed every step and checked the applicable boxes before submitting your issue. _A clear and concise description of what you expected to happen._ I'm using the latest HA install and I have two blinds; one consistently show 0%, and the other shows 68% regardless of the actual state of charge. Changed the ST hub channel to 11, paired the above dimmers again to ST (they received an update once connected to IKEA hub) - the battery problem is still there.

homekit I use ZHA with a CC2531 plugged into the pi4. Did you try to remove battery and insert them back? Bought 12 cheap dollar store batteries $3, Bought 8 expensive name brand batteries $25, Bought a HUSBZB dongle. ```lua But they also support grouping just fine.
I am too new to Home Assistant (2 weeks as of this post, coming from Hubitat) to have a good solution for a max-open level. It still doesn't make sense even if it is showing via the remote, it was displayed on the blind before 0.101. EDIT: interestingly one of the remotes reports offline vey often (as you can see in the screenshot), but when I press it, it actually reports instantly in HA.
Weird but as I put the lid on it in some cases just turned the pairing led off and also made pared buttons useless again. Thank you!_ Any clue why? The magnet is a neodyne and they are quite strong.

The small amount of time you spend completing the template will also help the volunteers providing the assistance to you to reduce the time required to help you.
But for the little guys, Im still working on a node-red sequence. I agree completely with what youre saying, however it also becomes a ST problems as IKEA products are supposedly meant to work natively with ST (rather than via custom/community groovy handlers), and also presumably if IKEA fix this via device firmware update were still relying on ST to deploy it to hubs.

Lessons learned: if you want to use the original remotes and not have them be e-waste straight away, you need to find a way to track the shade position and stop it before it opens too high (open = you can see through the window ).

Before trying to OTA, quick-press both buttons, the light will come on and stay on, no breathing effect or pulsing. I have the HUSBZB stick, and no gateway. i'll send beer money if it helps. Here are my findings: Pros: Everything works and is 100% reliable. The reason youre not seeing them is that its not implemented. You can try another fix by removing line 22 of sensor.py: The battery level will show up in the sensor entity. Ive been running 6 FYRTURs for a month now with basically no issues (Installed July 1 2021). - If you have an issue when flashing was done via Tuya Convert, please address it to Tuya Convert Team I have the problem on all versions on IKEA firmware. The battery percentage of my Philips Hue dimmer switch is running down quite rapidly since I paired it with the (Tasmota) ZbBridge. I added a few buttons for fixed positions - they do control all three blinds. This seems to not be all solved. I am moving over to HA and would like to have the same functionality. Sot sure but I might have found something. There has never been a no-response. Not sure about that My Fyrtur Blinds continue to work with ST But the battery life on these are impacted too. The USB-gateways you mention are unrelated. However it's not displayed as the "Battery" level, just as the state of the entities. So I just have an automation that lowers/raises 4 blinds on a button press trigger. This does not seem to appear for me and it broke some stuff of the official integration.. Hopefully the official integration will be fixed asap to include the battery again!

This is based on me observing the battery level on the remote going up after charging the blind battery. We havent been able to fix this but there is a workaround that @hwikene is using. Rules output here: Since my pi4 is 2 floors up, I installed the Ikea repeaters distributed across my house (1 on each floor in the hallway). However after the update that added ALL the devices and no level shows on the blind. I charged one of my blinds for an hour and it did not change the battery level on the remote (remained at 87%) so it looks like I'm wrong. tradfri.zip, Ahh awesome! Closure level is controlled by quick-double-press on any of the buttons when at the desired level. _(Not always this light)_ I now have some new sensor options available. And actually they do have the same battery issues as well. So far I have bound the shades to their remote (certainly not the one they were originally paired with, I had reset them many many times and never had them marked so this doesnt matter), Philips Hue Dimmer Remotes to IKEA bulbs (this combo allows for more brightness levels and a lower minimum than via the next remote, NO CT adjustment), the IKEA round dimmer remote to 2 TRADFRI bulbs (for this one, adjusting CT worked only on one of the bulbs, the second one never changed, while level adjustment worked on both), IKEA Symfonisk Sound Controller to 2 TRADFRI LED drivers + 1 TRADFRI bulb, and so far this last one has been the least responsive and reliable.

Also upgraded to 0.109.6 and battery status still does not appear on the blind devices themselves. So I removed the magnet (sits clamped in and some adhesive on the back but removes easily with a flat screwdriver) on two buttons on opposite side of my house. I have manged to keep two ikea buttons alive on a HUBZB stick and ZHA for about 3 months but only if I removed all of the IKEA repeaters from my house. and can not be switched off/on via Phoscon (or HASS). Console output here: Disclaimer: I am running a Sonoff ZigBee stick with the original firmware, which doesnt support all the features the TRADFRI devices can support, such as the motion sensors presence reporting.
Remote button battery also seems to be working fairly well.

I originally thought that this battery status was for the remote control battery, however I believe that is incorrect and instead represents the battery level of the blinds. Cons: No longer have battery status for the blinds available in HA. I feel like something isnt right about this. Im able to control my blinds with IKEA hub and integration.
This is a different platform but the issue has happened with Philips Hue remotes as well. That makes them useless in HA since they can ONLY control the blinds, I have all blinds as ikea and thats my only complaint about them, no battery status of the actual blind. Ikea Symfonisk remote! Has anybody had the time to try it? Basically the remote will be working independently to open, close, and pause the blinds through the IKEA hub but will not be of any use in HA. - If your issue has been addressed before (i.e., duplicated issue), please ask in the original issue A week later both combos are working with lightning fast response, no issues of any kind. Most blind remote buttons are close enough to the DECONZ stick. Yup the battery drain problem remains you can only use the buttons if you have NO OTHER powered zigbee devices in your house. One known issue seems to be that if the IKEA hub goes down for any reason, power, network, ect, the HA integration must be restarted to establish a connection. It is again a base firmware issue for the devices, but it is coming from the manufacturer of the chipset. I love this old comment from the HE forum. You can use the zigbee2mqtt web UI to setup groups of blinds and bind the remote to them. - If your Tasmota version is not the latest from the development branch, please update your device before submitting your issue.

```lua Without the gateway, everything is working perfect. Get the battery indicator working correctly. Ive had the back off mine this whole time and the problem remains. @ctfeet : I just tested this using the Ikea app and HA and it works as expected with the Tradfri integration. I can also go into the device and manually open, close or set to any position I want.
