I am also a person that researches stuff like crazy before getting a product. Lack of good Customer Service would give me reason to second guess this thought. They had the abilities to do it, they just didn't. It's considerably cheaper to force obsolescence via software than hardware and this is exactly what they are doing. No need for any more modules and I'm all up to date.

The light on the main box never comes on, but the screenis solid blue. I'm having problems with Neptune right now as well. Fishbit looks super cool, but is, as of yet, unobtainable. Apparently they released a firmware update and a bunch of people ended up with bricked devices that had to be sent back and replaced with new ones. Everything in my tank will be dead by then. How would I do that if the Apex will not come on?

If you just want to use it like you would an Apex it can be really easy. I had to follow up with them to discover they'd never received it and when I asked them to contact FedEx to arrange delivery they didn't and the package was sent back. What a shame with the money you spend on their products Makes you question the future purchase. You really only need the Apex EL model for freshwater. Neptune Systems is a VERY shady company. I contacted Apex on Friday asking for help and got a "cut and paste" response about checking my firmware. Anytime someoneneeds help they know they can call me and I will come through for them and I will never complain. I responded to each of their messages within 5 minutes. This topic is now archived and is closed to further replies. I switched over from a ReefKeeper a few weeks ago to an Apex Gold system and added a feeder. After much deliberation, I finally was looking into buying some APEX products and this is taking me back to where I was. Now that I am "pregnant" with $1000 in Apex gear, I will need to get over it. It has only been set up for about a month or so and it stops working. Again, I am very dissatisfied with how things were handled in my situation. I immediately responded, but did not get a response from anyone at Apex. My issue is with Neptune Apex's customer service. Ill admit I dont understand the undertaking it would be for Wyze to implement this and make it happen, but I imagine something in the application will allow me to toggle a switch to activate HLS streaming and then allow me to customize an HTTP(s) URL that I can use or share with others so they can see a live view of what my Wyze cam sees. God forbid someone who gained access to my aquarium and messed up or destroyed settings and killed my tank. I would think integration would be a worthwhile investment by Wyze. I really need some help today. I am very thankful that he was willing to help since Apex was not. Try just connecting the Apex base unit to just the Energy Bar 8. Within a very popular aquarium controller there is an option for a video feed. I did not get a callback yesterday and I am pretty disappointed about that, considering how much money I have spent on this Neptune system. I currently have 3 wyze cams and would purchase 3 more for my aquariums if this was possible. It could just be growing pains. (The one I got from Quantum Reefs was off of their frag tank. Make sure you return it and get some money back.
