As far as I can tell, it has not changed its composition, but I suspect that some of the bottles that are available in department stores are not fresh and just seem sort of off. The older Dune seems just a tad bit deeper and ever so slightly warmer. There is no advertising or 'sponsored' content on this site. The parfum was fantastic! It is the first thing I put on in the morning and the last thing I put on at night. But, this review made me want to run out as soon as I can and smell Dune and Poison. Again I was disappointed that this exceptionally beautiful bottle did not contain an aquatic. I know what you mean about reformulation fears, but I couldnt smell much of a difference between the spritzing I did in Nordstrom last week and my older bottle of EdT. In 1993 I went by a perfume store here in Buenos Aires. initially i was a bit disappointed as its sillage / longevity were not exactly more powerful compared to the edt. I first smelled Dune appx two years ago and it immediately reminded me of the ocean on breezy sunny day did I mention that I live in Barbados. Nothing else compares to it. Thank you for your recommendation to try it as a bedtime perfume, too. Its distressing to hear that a version of Dune was a simple vanilla floralafter all, thats what we have Vanilla Fields for. I dont often wear mine either, but I like having it around for when the mood strikes. Some say it is too sweet. It originally did not appeal to me because of my disappointment that it is, in fact, not oceanic. It can be a real bummer when a fragrance doesnt match its branding. White Gardenia Petals didnt move me at all, but Dune is a whole different creature. I change my perfume with my underwear but somehow I required her to still be wafting Dune through the breezeways. The day after wearing Dune, a sweeter version of the fragrance infuses my sweater. For those who wrote that this is a love or hate fragrance and that sometimes you love it and some you dont, its due to various reasons. I like the bottle a lot, too. Good luck finding one!
