This is one of those situations where us as consumers are fortunate to have competition between companies to produce another saw in the same budget range that offers pretty much the same quality. Is the Porter-Cable a better table saw than this RIDGID? So I ended up getting the R4510 on sale.

I contacted Ridgid and they were absolutely no help bottom line they said just return it and get another one. Use the same screws, be careful not to overtighten. This saw has a boat load of awesome reviews on various sources online and nearly all of the few negative reviews point to this issue. I wrote Ridgid back and asked them for specific information on the trunnion issue. The insert shelf that holds the blade insert has these little circle bump outs that hold the leveling screws. When raising the blade the blade will tilt to the right by a few degrees and when lowering it will tilt to the left by a few degrees. Please understand that once the package is dropped off, delays in track information and ship time is out of our control. I manage to get the piece thru shut off the saw.. unplug it and take off the throat plate I look inside and notice to the left my drive belt is moved over 2 grooves towards the inside to the motor. He was very cool and said if you want to just take the main body assembly off and bring it in he would be glad to bring down a couple other units and I could open them up, test them, and pick the best one as a replacement. We have talked to officials at our local post office and that was the reason we were given for missing tracking information. Cut down a bunch of plywood after fitting and for the first time since I bought it I was able to make square straight sides.

The new owner of my Porter-Cable got a sweet table saw station with a bunch of already made jigs and I got a smaller, much easier to move around and store away table saw with the potential of more upcoming fun shop projects. I will post again when something happens.

I am calling Ridgid tomorrow and if I dont get a satisfactory soloution it will be going back to the store which is unfortunate because I was given 20% off the normal price by the store manager. Mine does and Im very happy with it. does anyone know if the problem was fixed by manufacture? Many of our other functional parts, parts that see abuse, will be printed in ABS. Thank you soo much. Apparently either I didnt check good enough or something happened after a couple days because I noticed it big time today. There unfortunately isnt much info on the new Delta 36-725. Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. The Porter-Cable had a couple areas that I like more and this RIDGIDhas a couple areas that I like more. The included 4 dust collection port is optional. NOT!!! Looks like you already have an account! In retrospect, I wish I had gotten a T-Square Style simply because they seem to be the best option available. I was in a similar situation. While it is worlds better than the Ridgid one, the holes make the rails sit a little higher and in turn make the fence sit higher. I bought the Delta T3 fence from Home Depot to upgrade the stock fence on my Craftsman 113.

ABS is an extremely tough and durable industrial glade thermoplastic found in pretty much nearly everything. I dont think so. By 2pm today she was on her feet and I was adjusting the rails , fence square.. blade square to miter slots and fence everything tight and right by 4 pm. Boy am I glad for the invention of an appliance dolly. This upgrade replaces the stock hook fence (P/N 080035003163) and slider (P/N 080035003153).IMPROVEMENTS INCLUDE: 1) Removing all slop / play between the rail and the fence2) Oversized the back hook fence, significantly decreases the fence back wobble due to the anemic stock OEM part.2) Better surface contact between the rail and the front sliders and back hook fence3) Much beefier tensioner (on the two front sliders), allowing for steady and consistent tension between the front portion of the fence and railHOW TO INSTALL:1) Remove 4 screws from the front sliders and install the new custom sliders. At $220 it doesn't break the bank (even though that's more than 2x what I paid for the saw!). Electrical or electronic products may pose a risk of fire or electrocution. Guess I got lucky (or not unlucky). I didnt have the blade and miter problems mentioned. They made that awesome band saw you have. We take intellectual property concerns very seriously, but many of these problems can be resolved directly by the parties involved. The Jet is old but very good still. SoI sold it and bought a new saw. I look at it every time Im at the orange store. So, I am replacing fence system with the very super cool tools system. None the less, I still love this saw.

Put it all together and didnt need any allignment at all. Jay, have you decided yet on which saw to buy? Pretty good saw if you get a good one.
I drove 75 miles to get this one. WOW!!! The main reason for the table saw change is I made the table saw station too big for my shop. 5 cuts later half way thru a cut it starts to vibrate a little more then it had.. Im curious to see how long it takes you to replace those stamped steel wings with something more useful. What better tools at an affordable price. Well despite all the bad reviews I kinda had bo choice but to buy one of these POS rigid R4512 started assembling it this morning around 8 am. Ad from shop SpectrumAdvMFG I gave it a few passes with the sanding block to ease up the glide, but it is now more reliable and consistent when setting up cuts. I was dreading this as all of the very few negative reviews this saw has relate to the inability to get the saw blade parallel to the miter slots. @ Todd ..
