The mesh was sized right and was comfortable, but after a couple of casual wearings I needed to cinch them up and found that either the Z-strap was defective and cut way too long, or there was a bizarre design flaw, but the Z-strap, when pulled as tight as it would go was still loose enough that I could fit my whole hand in there thus making it entirely non-functional. The left sandal fit my foot perfectly.
