The earlier version I have is kept in my truck for when I go on my jogs. Moreover, the function only works if you're still actively connected to your headset. Still, I engaged in some pretty heavy exercise and yard work while testing these out and they never once fell out of my ears or slid off my head--there are very few earbuds/headsets I've tried over the years for which I could say the same thing.

I enjoy how these sit lightly in your ear, and wrap around your ear and your head for good support. But beyond that, Id have a hard time seeing anyone use these as their everyday listeners. I have the Blue/Black unit, and it fits perfectly (eerily perfectly) with the blue shade of one of my running shirts (third image below). The company balances quality, sound, and price very well and has produced some of my favorite and most-used earbuds. Like the original Fit, sound quality continues to be great considering the unsealed design. I pre-ordered both the Pixel 6a and the Pixel Buds Pro. The Fit 2100 is a remaster of the original Fit but with the same design and materials as the Fit 3100 (above) and a neckband connecting both earbuds. If you look closely at the images below, you'll notice something: every earbud has a large button with reflective coating.
But I HAVE to use earphones that have 'over-the-ear' hooks to keep them on/in my ears and that are sweatproof. As with the 3100, the 2100 uses Bluetooth 5.0, is sweatproof and IP-57 waterproof. Given its sealed nature, it's more geared toward indoor use and provides some passive noise isolation, which comes in handy whether you exercise at home or in a gym. In particular, this is the type of headset where the earpieces rest at the opening of the ear canal--they dont seat/seal in place the way an in-ear monitor would.
Depending on the angle you look at them from and the amount of light, they can go from bright blue/green to deep purple/grey. I encountered a few rare instances where I was a little far away from my phone and the sound would briefly cut from one earpiece or the other though, so reception won't be perfect if you leave your phone on a bench and walk away. The sound is good.

I used them once in the gym and could still hear the background music and some grunts and shouts, so keep that in mind if you're planning on wearing them indoors a lot.
But the problem is that it just doesnt deliver in spades under normal usage because what you really have is just a pair of earbuds suspended outside of your ear canals trying to play loud enough so that you can still hear the music over the din of the world around you. Compared to the Bragi Dash that I reviewed a while ago, the difference is night and day.
backbeat sweatproof I wish they go further into my ear but these are designed to still be able to hear your surroundings. They do turn on and off when you take them out of the case / put them back in, so you won't worry about that at least. They also cause a lot less strain on my small ear. Battery life is quick. The type of headphones which have all silicone eartips, these usually fit in the ear with less discomfort after many hours. You'll have to use a regular charger or power bank to top it up, which is the only inconvenience here. They are relatively light.
This newest version has just a couple of little nit picky things that I don't care for. Pro: The band on the BBF 2100 is a little shorter (about 1 inch, see photo), a little stiffer/firmer and thicker which I do like. I didnt want anything that is wired. They get loud, but not loud enough to cancel out any car sounds or leave you unaware of your surroundings. Charges quickly. The sound is awesome compared to the Motorola s11-hd earphones I had prior to this and they dont bounce around in ear or make excess noise.

Also when you turn the headphones on you don't get how many hours of charge you have left. It has an in-ear design with behind-the-ear loops to stay stable and are super lightweight. This honestly worked okay for music and was certainly fine for working out, but it was actually hard to make out some of the quieter dialogue in a movie I was playing on my iPhonewhich was compounded even further by the noise of the elliptical I was using at the time! The volume drops because there is no seal between the earphones and the ear itself. There are silicone ear-tips which can be rotated slightly to further personalize just how directly they squirt sound towards your ear canal; but without a good seal, it almost doesnt matter how good the sound is natively because you're never going to hear it all anyway. There is no way to get the ear piece to fit deep enough for the sound to be as good when holding them in place. Other than that, the headphones are great for exercising. These are attractive and seemingly capable sport wireless earphones. When they are on sale, you cannot beat the quality for the price. Reception was also good, regardless if I had my phone on the right side or left side. Thank You! The ear loops are a little smaller and fit too snug. Most earbuds don't fit/stay in my ear, especially for running.
These tend to be pretty uncomfortable after a bit versus the earlier version. For example, you can set one tap to start and stop the audible stopwatch, the second to launch a custom playlist or tell you the time. The app said the download would take about 50 minutes. They are water resistant but NOT water proof (this is actually my second pair - lost the first one after it submerged in water). They work good but I liked the older model better. The earlier version would tell you how many hours of charge you had left. I really liked the volume adjustment and the power 'on-off' switch(es) on the prior model of this item. The only issue I have run into is that since the loop of the headphones that runs along the back of your head is relatively stiff, it causes the headphones to move in your ears when lying down (e.g.

It's not ideal, but I understand that this had to be sacrificed to get the cable shorter and avoid it flapping around when you run or snagging on gym equipment. After a few hours the headphones do start to become a little uncomfortable, but not too bad. Plantronics' new line-up of sports headsets seems to have done a lot of things right. Sois this headset worth your hard-earned money? A lot of sound escapes and these are by no means noise cancelling. At this price point, I would look elsewhere. One important note for those of you looking to use the appthere was, at least for me, a bit of branding confusion on the App Store.

And in a BRILLIANT bit of truly usable design, a voice prompt tells you aloud your battery level when you power up the headsetno more hunting for a tiny LED indicator or guessing at when your headset is in need a little more juicenice! I would recommend the older model before this newer model. The audio quality of these Plantronics BackBeat Fit headphones is actually quite good, and it is as good or better than most of the other brands of headphones that I own, of which only the way more expensive Bluetooth headphones or earbuds have better audio quality.
This is a slightly more difficult process on most other Bluetooth headphones that I own, most of which have a longer amount of time needed to press and hold, before the headphone turn on. Only exception is the ear wrap and head piece. The teeny buttons are gone, replaced by the same context-sensitive buttons on each ear that we saw on the 3100 above.
