We did this, too! However, my diary attempt was thwarted by warped wood. And it was sooo easy to do. simple yet so effective. If you could point me in the right direction, that would rock. Since I used a framed mirror I already had, I had to remove the old frame to get the exact measurements of the mirror itself.

I started on the bottom piece and just applied the adhesive to the back and then carefully place it on the mirror. My original plan was to simply purchase this beautiful, thin-edge, black mirror from Crate and Barrel. I found the mirror at a Thrift Store in excellent shape. We patched, repaired and then painted them white the same color as our trim but in a semi-gloss finish (because it is a kid bathroom and they tend to be messier and harder on things). I already had the mirror, gorilla glue, screws, and drillbut I did have to buy: 1 - 4x8 Sheet of Utility Plywood (2.7mm) - $10.98, 1 half-pint of Wood Stain (HERE is stain + poly I used, in the shade Glossy Ebony) - $8.58, (These were the prices at my local Home Depot.
